Crayons' Second Life

I'd seen it pinned many-a-time, and today we set about giving all of our broken crayons a second life (see my pinspiration here);

DIY Crayons Process:
  1. Preheat oven to 150 degrees C.
  2. Remove all paper wrappers from broken crayons.
  3. Sort crayons into colour groups within silicon moulds.
  4. Snap crayons into smallish pieces.
  5. Bake until just melted (leave them too long and they'll split...like some of ours).
  6. Allow to cool, then pop 'em out and play.
This time we used silicon cupcake moulds/cases to produce large disc crayons, and the girls love 'em.  We have an array of other sized moulds now (thanks to a doting Pop, love you, Dad), so know this won't be our last melting adventure!
